"This Settlement Agreement (ABEYTA
WATER RIGHTS ADJUDICATION) . .
. among the United States
of America, as trustee for the Pueblo of Taos (“United States”); the
Pueblo of Taos, on its own behalf (“Pueblo”); the State of New Mexico
(“State”); the Taos Valley Acequia Association (“TVAA”), on its own
behalf and its fifty-five (55) member Acequias on their own behalves;
the Town of Taos (“Town”); the El Prado Water and Sanitation District
(“EPWSD”); and the twelve (12) Taos Area Mutual Domestic Water
Consumers’ Associations, on their own behalves and on behalf of their
members (“MDWCAs”)"
Legislation intended to implement the Abeyta agreement has been
introduced in the Senate by Senators
